ABOUT ZORIAN Zorian Matthews is an established Sussex artist based in a Brighton gallery where he displays and sells his latest work. A degree in Architecture, personal inspiration and constant experimentation has given him a unique style that seeks to incorporate light, reflection, texture and pattern in his work, in such a way that he is able to capture elements of his subject that often remain dormant and undiscovered. His work has had a natural evolution, through a development in colour, composition and style, expressing his subjective feelings to portray the central theme of the painting. Zorian is inspired by the natural landscape in its various forms and the changing elements that have shaped it, together with the introduction of the 'man-made' into this environment. Combined with imagination and memory, this creates a work that seeks to evoke and highlight the intrinsic mood of the subject.
